Dubai duty-free (DDF) manages duty-free shops, cafes, luxury goods and other services at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport.
Dubai duty-free was established on 20 December 1983 under the supervision of Air Ryanair representative McLoughlin. DDF recorded sales of US$20 million in the first year and entered the list of the world’s largest travel retail operators with a sales turnover of US$2.02 billion in 2019.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum is President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai duty-free and Colm McLoughlin is Executive Vice Chairman and CEO. DDF is a subsidiary of Dubai’s government-owned Investment Corporation.

There are 32 different languages-speaking staff from 50 different nationalities performing their duties at DDF. A multi-language environment provides a unique shopping experience to local and international travellers. Duty-free shops are open 24 hours (day and night).
Rules & Regulations
DDF staff shall wear a company uniform which shall consist of the following:
For Males: Trousers, Shirt, Jacket, Tie.
For Females: Long skirt/trousers, Shirt, Jacket, Black Plain Sheila.
